We have used The Natural Touch for multiple retaining wall projects over the last several years, they do a fantastic job! It was nice seeing the same crew this year as we've had in years past, and they always take care to clean up the work area and street at the end of each day. They are all very respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable. It is a pleasure to have them here on large or small projects and we look forward to using them again in the future. This year we had a giant block wall (3500lb block) built to replace an old failed retaining wall. It looks beautiful and we know it was built well and will last for many decades to come!

Lloyd and Julie have completed their 3rd landscaping project for us. We purchased an older home on the yellow river and it needed a full facelift inside and out. As in our previous home projects Lloyd and Julie presented a great vision to transform our outdoor space into a dream resort. Since we had 2 very successful natural touch previous projects under our belts, we were confident that they would not disappoint. After the quote was submitted we were once again pleasantly surprised as it came under what we expected. Samples colors of the stone were quickly dropped for approval. I have to admit that I could not visualize how all the colors would flow, but my wife and Julie assured me. With all the rain and other contractors delays on our house Lloyd kept in constant communication and was very understanding. We had a total overhaul of our front and back yards including our steep slope to the river. We were unsure how the large boulders, rock steps and trees would be safely planted. I should also mention that Lloyd handled all the permits with the city and the DNR. The natural touch handled the terrain and obstacles quickly and safely. There was a lot of paving stones and they were laid quickly and professionally. Although the project took a little longer than expected due to weather the final product was incredible. Front, back and side yards new sod! Flagstone Patio with fire pit and decorative retaining wall! Pool patio paving stones and tanning area connecting fire pit with pool house with flagstone. Garden landscaping around the house and garage. Landscaped hill with large paving stone walkway and decorative slope. Everything exceeded our expectations and all who visit are in awe! Three houses with a small, medium and large projects with natural touch landscaping all completed within budget and all exceeded expectations. I have several products from natural touch and the planter I bought last year had the most beautiful flowers all summer long. By far the prettiest flowers I have ever had. When I had care questions Julie was quick to answer and help.
Did you recently visit this company at the home and garden show? Did you get to talk to them and think they communicated effectively with you? Think again....We were very excited for our project to get started last summer, but we were very disappointed with the customer service and communication throughout the project not only between Lloyd and Julie and us, but Lloyd and Julie themselves. We were told by Lloyd that they were responsible to flag our sprinkler heads and move them to the outside of our project area prior to starting our project. I came home and they did NOT flag any heads, and hit 3 heads and drip line. They leveled out the patio area ready to lay, I found another sprinkler head that would have been dead center under our new patio at 530 in the morning, while tracing irrigation lines. When we brought our concern to julie, she gave a sarcastic reply. Per our contract we paid to have our downspouts buried with PVC pipe, they laid regular drain tile. After telling Julie about the mix up, they changed them but she sent the crew a text that they read out loud outside my open window insinuating that the homeowners are being difficult and that this project would be done soon. Never telling them that it was a originally in the contract and it was a mix up on their end. They promised that our sprinkler system would be “buttoned up” and back to working order when they left the project. After they completed the project, we found 3 sprinkler heads that were buried under the landscape fabric and mulch causing flooding around our home. And a 4th head that was buried that had been hit by the skid steer and was flooding our ENTIRE new fire pit. After cashing our second installment of payment, a week later Julie emailed and said she lost our check and requested that we send another installment. We also had signed a contract for a pergola. Julie emailed us and let us know they purchased our wood and started cutting to prepare for the pergola. 3weeks later they broke their contract for the pergola just stating they can’t do it, and gave us our money back. We have requested MULTIPLE times to meet with them in person to talk about the struggles of our project, only to be ignored for weeks and then told our issues were because of our communication style. We wanted to address this like adults and not air their dirty laundry online, however the natural touch refused to meet in person to discuss our concerns.
I cannot thank Lloyd, Julie and their amazing staff for transforming our back yard into an amazing outdoor living space! The project exceeded my expectations. We have worked with many contractors in the past 12 months or so and have never been treated so well! The communication was top notch! Lloyd and Julie were able to take our rough drawing of what we were looking for and created a beautiful oasis! They stayed within our budget and asked a lot of questions to create our vision. We did a lot of planning up front and it was very stress free when project day came! The Natural Touch Landscaping made our house a home and gave us a place to entertain family and friends.
